Last year, for my 30:ieth birthday I bought myself a decent digital SLR (well, by my standards). The idea was that I would take up my passion for the digital artform, and not just do it with a small snap shooting cheap camera that forced you to do some pretty heavy post-photography modification to make the images, at least somewhat appealing. At first I really commited to this new endeavour, and some of my 'first' pictures (in the sense, first with this camera) turned out quite alright (some are even submitted to my gallery - 'WHOA!'

. But it didn't stick, and I soon found myself crowded with school work, and with all the reading and writing and ... mundane *life*, in essence; my creativity was sapped out of me. There was just not enough motivation to go out, even though I did have several moments in time to do so. Creativity is a lot like love, it just comes to you, grabs you, and does what it wants with you - and you either submit to it, or become a wreck. But without it, you are a wreck anyways (how very poetic of me).
Well, now as spring has come, I am once again thinking about this passion of mine. And I've already submitted two (OK, rather boring - but decent) shots from last year. The idea is that this will spark some creativity, and I will once again boldly go out and through this device give a small glimpse of what is inside this mind of mine. And no, it is not all dull sceneries of some lake.
